Hello Vulcan, could you please post a picture of your fabricated bracket and chain tensioner, and a brief description of your fabrication. Also, do you have any sources where we could buy the above mentioned tensioner, and its approximate cost. THANKING YOU AND WISHING LUCK,LIVE LONG AND PROSPER,SINCERELY,RICK SAVIDGE.

Yup W A, I sure would like to see your homemade chain tensioner! You might have a sellable item there,as I have tried to locate an aftermarket, universal chain tensioner, to no avail!!! Let's see what you have, and maybe the group will have some more ideas along these lines to correct this ongoing, chain-slapping,stretching,pre-mature aging condition! Hell, WE ARE AMERICANS! JUST LOOK WHAT YOU GUYS DID WITH CHANGING THE SUSPENSION! THAT'S MAJOR! BRAVO! THANKS, SINCERELY, RICK SAVIDGE.

Hi Vulcan, Will the bike still work if the oil filter thing is making a knocking noise? Also Jerry, did you try something like NORD-LOCK Bolt securing system? www.nord-lock.com. You will want to request a sample bag,but if you talk to Nancy Smith in marketing, she will send you the size washer you ask for in stainless, galvy,or whatever you need, for free, just to try them out!!! I guarantee you will never use a conventional lock washer again! And that oil filter contraption, without loctite, will never come loose again!!! My 2cents,SINCERELY,RICK SAVIDGE.

here it is, it is made from angle iron off of the crate the bike came in, all of the joints have washers to reduce friction, the stateboard wheel has a grove cut in it to keep the chain from sliding off. i found that putting it against a grinding wheel and letting it spin with some resistance worked best.

it just bolts on under the plastic gaurd
