 |
|
We've owned the LF150 4-wheeler for exactly one week and are really disappointed with both the vehicle and the dealer (Action Sports in College Station, Texas).
Can we get a copy of the warranty? We took the 4-wheeler to the store because it wouldn't start. Whatever they were going to do they were going to charge us because they assumed we did something wrong. Our mistake was buying the vehicle without any warranty or owner's manual given to us because they didn't have it. I have since received the owner's manual from the manufacturer, not from the dealer.
Anyway, after haggling with the dealer over not wanting to pay for servicing a new vehicle (7 days old) they refused to waive the charges, so we didn't leave it. One of their service guys thought that it was just as simple of replacing or cleaning the spark plug. I cleaned it (while waiting for my wife to do some shopping at Wal-Mart) and it started right up. I was thankful, but as soon as we get home and unloaded it off the truck, it wouldn't start anymore.
I'm not sure what to do. All it does now is "click, click, click" when you attempt to start it.
Any help would be appreciated. |

Thanks for the warranty information.
The vehicle is working now. I'm not sure what the problem was, but I did recharge the battery and it started right up again. Later it wouldn't, but I have realized that when you stop it using the emergency shut off button on the left handle that it must be pushed in, not just in the center position like I thought. Simple things! |

I have sold many AL products and barely ever have issues with them, so a statement like this comes from either a person that had bad exp. w/dealer or just plain ignorance of the brand (not all Chinese vehicles are junk). My mechanic has almost a 0% return rate on his work and I do everything I can to take care of the customer. A brand is really only as good as their dealers are. Yamaha, Honda, and Suzuki all use Chinese plants so this (and have for 20-30 yrs), "Chinese is junk" comes from a bunch of uneducated (in the powersports field) people. Now sure the fit'n'finish might be better on the Big 5, but mechanically there is not much difference when it comes to the AL bikes. This post is not meant to disrespect anybody, so please don't take it personal. I am just a little tired of these statements, when I have people all over TX very happy with the products and my service.
Anyway JF, if the battery gives you problems again have your dealer swap it out and test your stator to make sure it's charging. If you have problems with your local dealer get ahold of Shawn over at AL and he'll put a foot in an uncomfortable spot |

clicking is basically always a battery issue as the clicking is a circuit that closes when there is enough power to turn the starter but when the circut closes or clicks it no longer has enough power due to the increased load and disengages. you might just need a new battery _________________ 08 GY-5 400cc nuff said
